Today I want to share the absolute easiest bread recipe I have found and used to make the crunchiest, softest, tastiest bread you can make!
As much as I appreciate the Sourdough process and love caring for the dough sometimes I want do something even easier and easy for other families to enjoy without making a Sourdough starter or buying one.
Homemaker’s Homemade Bread
The easiest homemade bread any family can make and enjoy! Done in one day this bread is crunchy, soft and so tasty.
Equipment
- 1 Dutch Oven
Ingredients
- 3 Cup Bread Flour
- 2 Tsp Kosher Salt
- 2 Tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 1/2 Cup Hot Tap Water
Instructions
- Add bread flour to large bowl, Add 2 Tsp kosher salt to flour
- Put 2 Tsp Active Dry Yeast in VERY hot tap water, mix together with a fork making sure it is not clumpy
- Add yeast mixture to flour + salt mixture
- Mix with wooden spoon gently into a ball
- Cover with glass plate for 3 hours, keep in a warm spot
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees, put covered dutch oven in for 30 minutes prior to baking
- Flour work surface, using a scraper get dough out of original bowl
- Fold the edges of dough in adding flour as needed
- Put on parchment paper with dusting of flour on top
- Once dutch oven has preheated for 30 minutes, add in dough
- Cook covered for 30 minutes, remove top and cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes for additional crisp
