Having kids in the summer is the best! Trying to find the best Rhode Island Beaches to bring your kiddos– not always the easiest! With having a little myself I know the struggle with trying to find kid friendly places to enjoy especially to cool off in the heat.
Looking for places that are not over crowded, filled with teens but instead have fun kid amenities, easy waters to navigate and reasonable entrance fees? Look no further.
I decided to do a round of up of my Top 5 Baby and Toddler Friendly Beaches in Rhode Island as a helpful resource to parents looking to get out and enjoy their summer!
Let’s dive in!
#5- GODDARD PARK-
1095 Ives Road
Warwick, Rhode Island 02818
Goddard Park is a great spot for families. You do not need a beach pass and it is conveniently located in Warwick. You do not have a lot of waves and it is not an overwhelming spot to be with many places to bring a lunch for a picnic. It is slightly rocky so bringing water shoes may be a good option.
#4- CHARLESTOWN BEACH-
557 Charlestown Beach Road
Charlestown, Rhode Island 02813
Charlestown Beach is another great option for families. Not overly crowded and easy for kiddos to get in water without being overpowering. Shower and bathrooms are available as well as simple food options. Good beach for walking. They do have limited parking as well as paying to park so keep that in mind.
#3- PULASKI STATE PARK-
151 Pulaski Road
Chepachet, Rhode Island 02814
Pulaski State Park located in Chepachet is a perfect spot for a day trip with your kids. This park has a roped off section of lake for swimming which makes it easy to let older kids in without wondering where they are. Also soft sand for smaller kids to play. Free parking and bathrooms as well as walking trails and picnic tables.
#2- SPRING LAKE-
50 Old Hillside Drive
Glendale, Rhode Island 02826
Spring Lake is another great lake to bring your kids to. With designated areas for swim you can bring new swimmers without wondering where they are. There is a fee for entrance. They offer various vintage arcade games, a snack bar and picnic tables for lunch.
