You read that right! Frozen Flower Eggs! A creative, fun and cheap toddler activity for your kids to enjoy.
Sometimes during the summer you run out of ideas to do with your kids and you don’t want to spend a ton of time and money doing that.
These Frozen Flower Eggs can be made quickly with things simply around your house. What is better than a cheap toddler activity that you can enjoy making and them playing with…. For a long time too!
Keep in mind you don’t have to buy any flowers for this either or get specific flowers. You can make it as simple as going out in the yard and picking various flowers and leaves. Which is an activity in its own for your toddler.
The “hardest” part I found was simply making the holes in the egg. Make sure you to take your time to ensure you don’t crack the entire egg.
Let’s get into it!
- carefully open eggs (I used a knife to crack the top each time I cooked eggs) wash the egg out.
- gather flower petals or any type of small flower and carefully put them in the egg (I had to help my kids)
- add water and let freeze
- carefully peel the shell
- play as you’d like! we did pouring on the eggs to get the flowers to peel and just various water play with the flower water!
And thats it! A great option for a cheap toddler activity this summer. You can give different kitchen tools or really anything around the house or yard to explore as the flowers start to melt as well as scooping or just playing with the petals.
Be sure to try this out and let me know in the comments how
